Tools that spark joy and conquer the day
Tech
- Apple AirPods – These are my go-to headphones. I prefer these over the pro version as the silicon tip on the pros don’t fit well with my small ears.
- Pixel 7 – We are an Android house and I have enjoyed the Pixel lineup over the bloatware that comes on the Samsung and Moto devices. Is the phone perfect, no. The under-glass fingerprint reader is terrible but the battery life is great.
- Wireless Charger – This is a basic one from Amazon that does the trick. I would like to check out the Google Pixel wireless charger but for $80, no thanks.
- Anker Charger and Cable – Anker makes some great products at a price that is hard to beat. These are reliable and I keep coming back.
- Anker Portable Charger – There are times when I can’t get to an outlet and this portable charger saves the day (like when I am on on the golf course).
Favorite Pens
Ditch the mundane and amp up your pen game with my daily workhorse heroes! Forget boring black, I’m all about blue ink that blazes a trail across the page, demanding attention like a neon spotlight. And those scratchy ballpoints and sluggish rollerballs? Leave them in the dust. My pens are gel-infused gliders, smooth as silk. Here’s the lowdown on my trusty squad:
- Pilot Juice Up 03 – My new favorite pen these days. Writes consistently and dries quickly. Very fine tip but doesn’t feel overly scratchy. Currently seeking an upgraded pen body for this daily workhorse.
- Uni Ball Signo RT1 – Consistent fine-tip gel pen. This is where my journey started and when the mood strikes, I use it in this amazing upgraded pen body from Spoke. Just wish the cap posted.
- Zebra F-701 – Durable metal body pen that is great to click and fidget with but the stock ink is terrible. You will want to upgrade this.
- Pilot Hi-Tec-C – The tip on this pen is the finest of the bunch. If you like a scratchy feeling when writing to get that feedback, then this is for you.
Favorite Notebooks
When you find a great notebook it’s hard to change. The soft, velvety paper and the way your favorite pen writes. These are the two notebooks that I prefer but almost always pick the Rhodia.
Other Stuff
- Disposable masks – With all the germs going around, it is nice to have these in my bag.
- Kershaw pocket knife – I can’t tell you the number of times this comes in handy. Definitely not travel friendly, but great for keeping in an everyday bag.
